NRCLDC

The Northern Regional Council of Local Dental Committee incorporates all the LDCs in the Northern Region.
LDCs are statutory bodies, set up originally in the NHS Act 1948. The have been recognised in every NHS Act since.

NRCLDC Website

The NRCLDC website has been designed to store information relevant to LDC members.
It holds information on individual LDCs within the Region as well as being a source of useful information.

The NRCLDC has been set up to support dentists working within the Northern Region and encompassses the following LDCs

  • NORTHUMBERLAND
  • CUMBRIA
  • NORTH TYNE
  • GATESHEAD & SOUTH TYNESIDE
  • SUNDERLAND
  • DURHAM & DARLINGTON
  • TEES

The Committee comprises of the Chairs of all LDCs alongside other pertinant dentists such as GDPC representatives and LDN Chairs.

The aims of the NRCLDC are to:

  1. allow dental information and issues to be discussed over a wider Region.
  2. work as a cohesive body when dealing with Local NHS on local issues.
  3. assist dentists with queries and represent them when required.
  4. represent the LDCs at national events eg the BDA/LDC Liasion.
